PCB Coaster Astronaut & Earth

Earth is also known as “The Blue Planet” because water covers two-thirds of its surface. It is the third planet from the Sun and the firth largest planet in the solar system. Earth is the only planet in the universe known to harbor life. It is home to several million species of plants and animals. Home sapiens, modern humans, first walked the earth between 200,000 and 300,000 years ago.

This PCB coaster featured planet earth with the moon on one side and a Homo sapiens astronaut in space on the other side. The artist uses white silkscreen circuit board traces to draw the earth, the moon and the astronaut. The Americas, Africa and part of Europe glowing with immersion gold. The moon is powered with a giant BGA component. The darkness of space is made with glossy black soldermask.
