PCB Coaster Ladybug & Butterfly

Ladybugs are a type of beetle with rounded bodies. They are often bright red with black spots on their shells. The artist uses immersion gold to depict the black dots on the ladybug. It is a delight to look at the beauty of butterflies with their large wings. These insects come in a great variety of sizes and colors. To become a butterfly, a caterpillar first digests itself, the process is called metamorphosis.

This PCB coaster featured a ladybug on one side and a butterfly on the other side. The designer combines the materials used to fabricate printed circuit boards (PCB) such as copper, immersion gold, soldermask and silkscreen to create art. The pretty ladybug and the butterfly are drawn using white silkscreen traces. Immersion gold is used to contrast with the green color of nature made with glossy black soldermask.
